Miracle 10 Cleanser II Review

Last month I won one of Miracle10 skin care collection's cleansers from a contest hosted by Girl Meets Box. Miracle10 is a skin care line from The Plastic Surgery Clinic Inc., one of the top plastic surgery clinics in North America. The Miracle10 line was developed to combat aging skin, fine lines, and acne.

I received Miracle10's Cleanser II. According to the Miracle10 website, it is "an active foaming, non-drying, antioxidant rich, pH-correct cleanser with exfoliating properties, designed to remove make-up and deeply cleanse the pores, removing oil and skin debris."

This may just be my new favourite cleanser. It gently foams when applied but afterward my skin feels throughly cleansed, as if I'd just used a face scrub. My skin felt tighter and was more glowing afterwards as well. I really want to try out the other skin care products in the Miracle10 line. The line includes creams, masks, serums, and toners.

The Miracle10 Cleanser II is $39 for a 120 ml bottle. For more information and to purchase, visit the Miracle10 website at www.miracle10.com

Good Things in the Mail - April 3, 2014

Here are some of the freebies that appeared in my mail box this week:

From left:
  • Pampers Kandoo Super Power kit (cape, Boogie Wipes, tattoos, stickers, coupon) - won on the Kandoo site (www.kandookids.com/take-the-oath)
  • Garnier Clean+ Balancing Gel Exfoliator sample and coupon - from Garnier's website (www.garnier.ca) - finished
  • Package of Mrs. Dash Taco Seasoning Mix and coupon - from Mrs. Dash Canada's Facebook page (www.facebook.com/mrsdashcanada) - finished
Hudson is going to be SO happy when he gets home and sees the cape! And I'm sure both the kids are going to stick the tattoos all over themselves :/. I was VERY excited to see the Garnier sample. As anyone who reads this blog knows, I love Garnier and am always excited to try their new products. As for the Mrs. Dash - it's funny, because a couple of days ago I was thinking, "I should really make stuffed peppers soon." BAM! Taco seasoning mix in the mail! Now I just need ground beef, peppers and cheese and I'm good to go (I don't really want to find those in the mailbox).

UPDATE:

Ready to be Super! :)

Contest Winnings - Garnier Ombrelle and Fructis Style Beach Chic

About a month ago I won a contest on Garnier Canada's Facebook page and last week I received the prize in the mail! Full-sized bottles of Garnier's Ombrelle Face sunscreen and Fructis Style De-Constructed Beach Chic texturizing spray!

I'm a big fan of Garnier's hair products. They're one of the best low-priced brands on the market. I currently have probably close to 10 Garnier hair care items at home right now. Plus, any company that has Tina Fey as a spokesperson is okay by me!

I tried the Beach Chic spray in my hair this morning. Of course, it's not the greatest weather for it as the snow finally (hopefully) all melted this morning. I did like the light hold it gave my hair and it helped keep my waves in check. I will definitely appreciate it more in the summer when I can actually go to the beach, and it will hopefully help my summer frizz hair. Also, it smells lightly fruity, not overpowering.

I've used Ombrelle but not in a long time. However, I have been lacking a good face sunscreen and I do remember Ombrelle being a good brand. I will make more use of this when Spring decides to stay and the sun starts shining (though yes, I know I should wear sunscreen on cloudy days too).

Share your contest winnings in the comments below. For more info on Garnier products, visit www.garnier.ca

Contest Winnings: Romwe Burgundy Hearts Shirt

Intense Polish Therapy had a giveaway with Romwe a while ago for Romwe's Burgundy Hearts shirt. I won it! It's so cute and I was so excited!

I received it this week but unfortunately they forgot to ask me my size. It came in a (China) small. However, there's a little lady in the house who can fit in that size:

It's a touch big on her, but with tights it just looks like an oversize blouse. She loves it and she says all of the girls in her class complimented her on it. So it was a win for Aislinn :)

IronKids Gummies Review

This week I won a bottle of IronKids Gummies Calcium vitamins from a giveaway on their Facebook page. I mentioned to them that I would be reviewing the vitamins after I received them, and they offered to send me an additional bottle of IronKids Gummies Omega-3 gummies. I was thrilled to win the contest, and I was even more thrilled to receive the Omega-3 gummies. I'm kind of a vitamin nut, and I was looking into omega vitamins for the kids anyways, so it was a treat to have an opportunity to try the IronKids gummies.

I've always been hesitant to try gummy vitamins, as I thought it would be a bit of a tease to only give the kids one "gummy bear" a day. Well, for the kids' age, they actually need to take 4 of each kind of vitamin every day! It seems like a bit much, but at least it seems a bit more like a proper treat. My kids actually don't have a problem taking vitamins, right now they take a Flintstones-type multivitamin, but for kids that aren't as keen on it, it is a great idea. The Omega-3 vitamins are actually the more gummy-like of the two types, as the Calcium gummies are actually more like fruit snacks. Aislinn preferred the Omega-3s, while Hudson said he liked both the same. Overall, I'm happy (read: the kids are happy) with the products, but with 60 vitamins per bottle and 8 vitamins used up a day between the kids, they will not last long. They retail for $9.99 each on Well.ca, but there is a coupon available on their Facebook page.
